The President of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences acad. Yuliyan Revalski will reveal the memorial plaque on the facade of the home of acad. Ivan Duridanov (1920-2005). The event will take place on Monday, 22nd May 2017, 10:30am at 6 Liditze Str. in Sofia.
The research of acad. Ivan Duridanov is in the field of general, comparative and Indo-European linguistics. His most significant achievements are in comparative onomastics, ethymology, Paleo-Balkan languages (Thracian, Dacian, Peso). He was the editor-in-chief of the “Balkan Linguistics” magazine for many years.
